Our students may leave with experience studying abroad, presenting research at conferences and symposia as well as internships in museums and galleries. Whether pursuing graduate study or careers upon leaving college, Art History majors are valued for their highly developed skills in visual analysis and interpretation, research, writing and oral communication. Art History majors may find success in fields as diverse as museum and gallery administration, advertising, interior design, publishing, business management, medicine and law. Students who graduate from this program will be prepared to enter graduate school in art history but art history majors may pursue other educational and professional opportunities as well. Art History draws on every field of study from the fine arts, literature and history to science and mathematics as a means to understand works of art and their broader histories. They learn about how works of art reflect the lives and cultures of the artists who made them. In part, some of the reasons for such low results could be due to the fact many students take courses part-time rather than full-time or that the school enrolls a high number of active military students.Students in our Art History degree program study Western and Non-Western Art from pre-history to the present day. Unfortunately, the four-year and six-year graduation rates of 15% and 40% are not as desirable. These perks no doubt help to contribute to the decent retention rate of 72%. The current student-to-educator ratio is 18 to 1, and roughly 40% of classes have under 20 students. And don’t forget the online degree alternatives and military student benefits. The programs UTeach and Camp P.R.O.W.L are further options, as well as some life-changing and inspiring study abroad opportunities. ![]() An honors college is open to those who perform exceptionally well in the CSU academic environment. Dual enrollment is an option for high school students to pursue college credit in high school. And pre-professional programs exist in a variety of fields including law, medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, and physical and occupational therapy.Įven more academic opportunities are available to provide CSU students with greater advantages. Nexus degrees are available in Cybersecurity of FinTech and Film Production. The majority of degree offerings cover nearly everything, from STEM-related programs and art to business and history. However, even more programs are available, including combined BS to MS degree programs, certificates, endorsements, minors, pre-professional programs, and nexus degrees. The school is home to over 75 degree programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels. CSU encourages students to pursue their interests and passions as professions.
