This is due to the nature of products offered by Darkside Games and its affiliates. Not including hundreds of raw cards on ebay and the many thousands more sitting in people's houses who aren't keen on capitalizing on price spikes or are hesitant to grade anything because they've never done so before.Įveryone buying at $1400+ thinks they are big braining this play when instead the reality is they are throwing concepts of fundementals out the window and FOMOing during hype.We do not offer returns (except where required by law), which means you should verify the product you order is the correct item. Thats only with 460 total submissions, and that population doesn't include the increased volume going to BGS and CGC because of the current premium on decent turnaround at PSA. Thats only people who express graded or sent a regular order in early on right when they got it. There are already 83 PSA 10s of this card. Everyone was operating on the false assumption that PSA 10 pop will be low on this card. When that happens and there are 500+ 10s graded the price will tank, and the 9s will tank even harder. It doesn't take all that long for hype to die out. This card is maybe a $500 PSA 10 at best long term. are most welcome!Īnd just so everyone knows this is overpriced and people collecting 20 years from now will use this card as an example of why you don't buy into the hype. Even then, if it were to come back a 9 (could it even be an 8?), is it worth sending it off to be graded given the cost (likely the $50 option) and the wait time? I've also never sent anything to be graded myself, so I may just be trying to talk myself out of it because I'm nervous, lol.Īny tips, pointers, opinions, past experiences, etc. Plus, it doesn't have a swirl, which makes the valuation on the lower side given the popularity of swirls. I'm pretty positive it won't come back a 10 given that the centering is a bit off and there is a print line going across the bottom of the holo. ![]() With the huge boom in the prices for the Special Delivery Pikachu, I was wondering if it was worth it to sell it sealed OR get it graded (and incur the cost of grading from PSA as well as the wait time)? I figured it would become valuable in a few years, so I kept it sealed (I also have the Ornament that came with it sealed as well). Our Special Delivery Pikachu (SWSH074) Sword & Shield: Black Star Promos is currently sold out. With that being said, I was one of the lucky ones to get a Special Delivery Pikachu from the Pokemon Center (although I didn't buy any on ebay, then, which was a poor decision in hindsight). With the new craze of card collecting/grading/selling/investing that has happened in the past 10 months, I've been more cognizant of the investing side of collecting. I'm not much of a pokemon investor right now, but I have been collecting cards for the last 4 or 5 years (other than what I did in my childhood).
